Are you getting married soon and have a few wedding photography questions. Maybe you are considering me as your wedding photographer and wonder about a few of my policies? Read on for a few of my F.A.Q.s and feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions!
I am not a big fan on having my pictures taken, why should I have an engagement session?
Engagement pictures are not only treasured memories for you, but they are an excellent way for us to get to know each other better. As we take pictures we will likely chat about how your wedding planning is going and I will get the opportunity to see how you pose and look best in front of the camera. This leads to better pictures on wedding day.
How many outfits should I bring with for the engagement session?
I recommend bringing along 1-2 outfits for you and your fiancé. If you do choose to do two outfits, to get the most out of your session do one casual and one formal/semi-formal outfit.
How long do engagement sessions last and where do they take place?
Engagement sessions typically last 1-1.5 hours. Many of my portrait sessions take place at the farm my husband and I own near Audubon, MN. I also shoot in local city parks and places meaningful to you.
What is a bridal shoot and do you photograph them?
A bridal shoot is an individual beauty shoot for the bride in her wedding dress. This shoot can be held before or after the wedding day. I offer bridal shoots as a part of my portrait packages.
I want you to take my pictures, what do I do next?
Shoot me an email or give me a call and lets schedule a time to get together and chat about your wedding. At this time we will also go through my contract and make sure we are a good fit for each other. A signed contract and non refundable retainer are required to hold your wedding date.
What is a print release? Can I print the pictures from my wedding day?
My current wedding packages include a print release. A print release gives you the right to print the digital files provided to you after the wedding day for personal use. Most print labs will require you to show the print release in order to print the images.
How many pictures do I get from my wedding day?
I do not guarantee a certain number of images since every wedding day is so unique, however typically I deliver 50-75 images per hour of wedding coverage.
Are pictures from my wedding/engagement shoot used in your marketing?
I reserve the right to use images from your wedding/engagement shoot on facebook as sneak peeks, on my website and occasionally in brochures such as this one. If you are not ok with this, please let me know at time of booking.
