I have heard a wedding album called your first family heirloom. Or other times stories of parents or grandparents of the new couple reminding them to look through their wedding album in times of trial in their marriage, as a reminder of the love they have for each other. Lets face it, at least from my experience, your wedding day is a blur. It all goes by way to fast. It is hard to remember who all was there, all the beautiful words that were spoken and the special look your significant other had on their face during your first look. That is why we hire photographers and videographers, to help capture these memories so we can hold on to them for a lifetime.
Even if pictures are not "your thing", a wedding day album is a great way to capture and hold those memories. A great wedding day album paired with a wedding day film makes for a great set of memories from your wedding day.
So you might ask, what are my top two reasons you should have a wedding album?
1. They get the pictures off your computer. I love digital images, they are great, do not get me wrong, but there is something extra special about printing them off, whether it be to hang them on your walls or to include in an album or even better yet, both!
2. Your wedding day album, if done right, is more than just pictures on pages of a book. It is a mini story of your wedding day told through images. This format is a great way to share your images and wedding day story with your family or friends or even just reminisce about the good times you had on your special day.
Here are a few images of a gorgeous wedding album I recently created and shipped out. One great thing about albums is they are very custom, there are multiple cover colors to choose from, many different unique ways to layout the images and show off your unique style.
I love my current album manufacturer, my leather like cover options are called "happy cow", just as gorgeous as leather, but more humane (if that's your thing) and beautiful quality. I mean the images in these books, just pop and the book feels sturdy in your hands.
What's most important when it comes to your wedding album is what's inside, but having great quality materials really makes a difference, especially in the longevity of the album, which is ultimately what we want right. We want to be able to share our own wedding day fairy tail with our grandchildren.
Images in these high quality albums lays nicely across the crease of the book, increasing the creativity an options when it comes to designing your album.
You might be thinking that you would really like one of these, but are not sure if you can afford one or how the design process works. If you decide you would like an album, after I have edited the images from your wedding day, I carefully select images that tell the story of your day and custom create a design just for you. Once this design is ready, I share it with you and give you the opportunity to ask for image swaps and/or small changes to the design. That's not to bad right?
