Sarah | High School Senior Pictures | Giving Senior Give-Away Winner

Earlier this month, I got the privilege of working with Sarah to take her senior pictures.  Sarah was the winner of my class of 2015 Giving Senior Give-Away due to her dedication to serve and make the community around her a better place.  Sarah is an awesome upbeat person who loves her horse Willow and encouraging young girls to have good self confidence and to get involved in their communities.

Here is Sarah's essay that won her the giving senior give-away:

"Ask not what your community can do for you, but what you can do for your community. Helping out your community does not only deliver a positive effect but it also builds character and creates skills one can carry with them for a lifetime. Involvement in a community can end up becoming ones life passion and can be the first step in finding out how much you can do for someone else. If every student volunteered in their own community unlimited changes could be made in not only individual lives, but the overall community would be a better place to live. Although making a difference in one person’s life isn’t changing the world, people are helped along the way, and that is what truly matters. If nothing else, students realize and have a greater appreciation for what they each have, and the opportunity they’ve been given. Getting involved lets you become a more valuable citizen and sets a good example for younger generations to come.
Growing up as a little girl I had so many amazing role models around me. They taught me all the necessary life lessons and showed me what it was like to be a true leader. My friends and family are what inspired me to become a leader and help out not only in my community but all around to those in need. From the very beginning I've realized that doing little things for someone can change there whole life and simply just put a smile on their face. Helping out my community started when I participated in ʺday of caringʺ at the DLHS high school. It helped me find that even just raking someone's yard, or cleaning ditches makes a huge difference to people In your community. That's when I made the decision to run for miss northwest teen so I could be a representative of our community and continue to help out all around. I've been able to be a part of fundraisers, help out during carnivals, and inspire kids all around me to be a leader just like I was inspired when I was a little girl. I am very honored to say that I am now Miss Becker County fair and get to share my platform with all those around me and continue to make a difference in my community. I hope that I can make a difference in other peoples lives just like they have made a difference in mine."

Sarah is truly beautiful inside and out, check out a little sneak peek from her session.
