I went to visit the 4-H horse participants on one of their practice nights again. This time they were practicing a speed event, Key Hole. On my last stop they were practicing english pleasure. I love going and watching the practice nights or "clinics" as it reminds me of all the memories made back when I was a 4-Her showing my horses. Speed events were never my area of expertise, I preferred the finesse of the pleasure classes, but there always was something intriguing and fun about running a barrel or pole pattern.
It is so great of Becker County to put on these clinics free of charge every Wednesday night up until the fair for the Becker County 4-H kids. It is such a great way to get your horse out and learn. Practicing at home is great, but it is amazing how much more you can learn when you are out riding with others and have someone there to critique you.
More images of the 4-Hers can be found on my proofing site. I will keep them up until the end of July 2015. Here is the link: http://proofing.amberlangerud.com/
